Providing an empowering, caring and supportive environment.

Our Story.

Nova Home Support provides around-the-clock residential care, person-centered support, individualized education, and community-based enrichment opportunities to a sweet, funny teenager with autism, severe mental illness, medical/ADL needs, and behavioral challenges.  Support is provided in the community and in a private home designed to meet the client’s unique and evolving needs.  The program is grounded in principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), and adjustments to the behavior intervention plan are made frequently based on data collected by a team of professional staff dedicated to providing the client with the best possible quality of life.

“Having worked in the program since the beginning, I have seen this kid, his family, and his team overcome an extraordinarily challenging set of circumstances with amazing results. The experience has enriched my skill set in practical ways that I will utilize throughout my career as a nurse, and the special bond I have formed with him is unique and unforgettable. Watching his journey from hospitalization to regular engagement with his family and the community has been inspiring to me both personally and professionally.”

Working in this program taught me so much about the human condition and the spiritual aspect of service in the ABA field.  It helped me find my calling in life. Was it perfect and fun all the time? No it was not, but it’s a noble and rare opportunity to be of service, and no matter what kind of day you have, no matter how hard things get, his smile and laugh will make you remember how wonderful it is to know him.”
